It's hard not to appreciate the simple beauty of fried spam between two pieces of supple white bread. Liberally applied with mustard, of course.

Mayo instead of mustard and a fried egg and I'm in.

This plus lightly toasted white bread perhaps with a dash or two of pepper.

It's fine if Spam isn't for you. No big deal at all.

Like all foods, there are people who don't like Spam. If everyone had to have it, the price would go sky high and there would be no pork shoulder for Pulled Pork BBQ.

I happen to like it a lot. Sliced and cooked in a skillet until crusty, with cooked onions and mustard on toasted bread and Potato Salad on the side is a nice meal.

Some of the best fried rice I've ever had was made with spam.

I've also had a dish with spam, green beans and tomato sauce that was pretty damn good also.

I don't know. i never tried it. I bought some once and opened up the can. And then a huge glob of jelly fell onto my plate and I started gagging and no thanks.

Yep, the first time is rough. What you saw was spam's amniotic fluid. It takes a little getting use to, but you'll get past that in time. Hang in there.
