One night my wife and I were at a bar in the Hollywood Hills. A friend from Opelousas who had moved out there a year before us suggested we try a vodka and amaretto on the rocks. We did. It was pretty fricking tasty at 2 am.

Don't know when it's acceptable but the old ladies buy it by the case on Carnival cruises

Why do you care about what other people think about your choice of beverage? A real man wouldn't give a shite.

With that said, what gives amaretto its distinct flavor?

I don't care for it. Matter of fact I've never had anything good out of Ameretta or any other town in the Tx panhandle.

Ameretto in coffee is delicious, if it's not too hot outside I drink this before heading to lsu to set the tailgate up.

Don't you mean Amarillo?

And isn't that a Mexican hard shelled critter? They dig 14,000 holes in your St Augustine looking for grubs and roll into a ball when the dog tries to grab them.

It´s a licór made from apricot pits and almonds, spiced up with tons of aromatic herbs. Ah, and vanilla extract.

Use to add orange juice amd cranberry juice for a girlfriend of mine, she loved it. It didn't taste bad, but it's not what I'm looking for.
