think a lot of these dudes avoided cooking out of fear that their shite wouldn't pass muster beyond the clique. Just my opinion. You have yours.

Thanks to everyone who came out. We raised just a shade short of $1300 to split between the two charities from the event and the Little Angels sold somewhere in the neighborhood of $1000 in t-shirts. RV guy definitely had the best jamb. We still don't know who won 3rd because they never came forward.

Hope everyone had a good time. Next year we'll try to schedule around beer releases and graduations. We'll also nix the creole category in favor of a pastalaya flight.

Very well. Lots of horse-trading among the winners. The golf bag and several other items changed hands.

Very much so, especially the oyster knife. The winner turned down several cash offers that I saw. I won 3 of your books myself.

Thanks. That's what I was hoping and expected.

There were 3 or 4 pots of jambalaya that I would have thrown out before serving. When I talked to the folks , they would say it's a family recipe and they've always made it that way. No desire to try to improve it at all.

I didn't have the heart to tell Net his Jamby sucked.

Pics of his jambalaya? I'd like to see what a competition winning jambalaya looks like.

Heard the RV guy was really good, I tried my buddy's that night and thought it was too salty, otherwise it was good.

Some of my thoughts about this thread and the jam cook-off

jeep sounds like a really good dude..i need to patronize his place

all the jam cooks seem like good IRL people and did a great thing to raise some $$$ for charities.

what are the names of those charities again?

flamingo is rag, allegedly

i'd kill to have some of RV's jam for lunch today

i'd kill to have one of rat's awesome oyster knives

is stadium rat so short that he's not allowed to ride the go carts alone at celebration station

does jeep have any eye-candy worker chicks?

Paul have you ever cooked a jamb that big before? Looks like a huge pot you had there.

The opposite - I'm so large I'd break a go cart.

I think all of them were there, not sure I was outside 90% of the time.

I've only done about 10-12 jambalayas before but always 2/lbs of rice
