Only thing I've used from them is the Spaghetti sauce and it's pretty damn good. How do the other jars stack up? Mainly looking at the gumbo and sauce piquante jars. If they're serviceable think I'd rather pay 7 bucks for a jar than tend to making base for a couple hours

I just recently tried the Chili and I was happy with the result for being really easy. Had the 32oz jar, 2 lbs of ground beef, and a can of beans (oh no), and a little extra cayenne to spice it up and it was quite tasty.

I haven't tried the spaghetti sauce yet but that's next one I plan to try.

The stewed chicken one with a grandma on it is my favorite of them. Works equally as well with pork shoulder steaks.

I’ve had Their Worcestershire sauce, Cajun spaghetti and shrimp creole and have been pleased with them.

I use this sometimes as a marinade before grilling pork chops & chicken - excellent flavor. Also use a few Tblspn when cooking a pot roast and for red beans . I think it was their first product

There is a bottle of garlic sauce on my counter at all times. I use it on just about everything that needs some zing

add it to a brown gravy and it really shines. It’s also a great wing sauce and BBQ sauce base

I've used the gumbo and very happy with it.

Only complaint is the directions on the bottle. It calls for 4 to 4.5 pounds of cut up chicken. For what the bottle makes, I feel like that is way too much meat. I would cut that in half, especially when you add sausage to it.

I keep a few jars of chicken stew at the camp for easy meals. If you see any Uncle Larry's products around they are solid as well. I really like gumbo for camp meals.

I just did it and I used like 2.5 lbs if chicken and a little under 2lbs of sausage. It was a lot of meat especially sausage but I won’t complain about that. Flavor was great for a c and s gumbo. I didn’t add anything other than j seasoned my chicken a bit before browning. It was a little greasy but probably partly my fault.

Cajun Power is the most consistently good set of products out there. All of their stuff is classic, high quality stuff.

True story. Last week my 82 year old across the street neighbor came made Cajun Power chicken stew using the jar and a baked chicken form Costco. That was the first time she had tried Cajun Power anything. She couldn't believe how good it was and that it tasted like a classic roux-based chicken stew. She loved it. She came over because the jar made too much for just her and her husband and she was giving away half a pot. Of course I accepted.

Here's a thread from a few years ago. If you read through it, you'll see that some of the products are the same, but with different labels and instructions depending on the label. I'd forgotten that I'd used the etouffee for smothered pork chops until I read the thread again.

Cajun Power Thread

I use the vanilla cinnamon sugar for things like French toast. Very good mixture.

That Cajun power garlic sauce in the crockpot with chicken is fantastic.

I like to mix this with mayo to accompany burgers and grilled chicken thigh sandwiches. Makes a nice thin sauce.

I've tried the spaghetti sauce, the sauce picquant, and the shrimp stew and all have been very good. Rouse's in Jefferson Parish seems to carry all 3. Other stores may only have the spaghetti sauce.

FYI - the spaghetti sauce with Teets smoked pork sausage is very good.

I prefer the Smothered Chicken over the Chicken Stew. Both are very good though.

We are huge fans of all the products. Don’t use the spaghetti or chili very often

The gumbos, the stews and smothered ones are outstanding. Make a great weeknight meal.

Tried that spaghetti one night and it was phenomenal for how little effort it requires
