To feed 14 people, St. Louis cut

2-3 ribs a person?

6-7. I generally use a half rack per person as a basis, no matter the style of pork rib

If I show up at your house and you feed me 2-3 pork ribs I'm gonna punch you in the mouth!

ETA: Per usual, Blackened Out is a voice of reason.

if its not just ribs you are serving, then your 2-3 ribs per person will probably be a good estimate.

At a minimun, unless the group is half women or more. Then a rack per couple, with sides, should be fine.

ETA:I should have read more than the first post. I'd do a rack per couple...I love to have leftovers and you don't want to short a guest.

On topic, but why are they called a 'rack'?

2-3 a person is good if the ratio is 7/7 plus you have other stuff. Your gonna have leftovers.

That depends on what sides you have with it. 3 ribs per person is the perfect amount if you're having sides and if people are also drinking alcohol.

If you're only having ribs, then 6-7 a person is correct.

Count is being silly. They are "racks" because they come from the chests of the animals. Duh.

Idk. I can't ever recall only eating 3 ribs with sides. I'll eat at least six.

To be fair, that wasn't in the OP.
