I heard they had a soft opening already. I don’t know anything about it. Where is it? What’s the scoop?
Same folks from New Roads I presume.

They're located on Airline between Old Perkins and Hwy 42. They had an "invite only" soft opening on Saturday.

Let's hope they're as good as the New Roads location.

My girlfriend and I went last Friday for a private party and it was good. I had the shrimp poboy and she had seafood gumbo. I think they officially open to the public either this Tuesday or Thursday. I really wish they could have some sort of outdoor seating similar to the Mexican restaurant on the other end of the shopping center but the bar area inside should be nice to watch some games and grab a drink.

I don't really think that's the atmosphere they are shooting for. You open up outdoor seating and next thing you know, people will start bitching if they cant bring there dog.

Can't tell by their website or facespace when they open, AT ALL!
Why make it difficult to find when your grand opening is?

I'm a fan of the New Roads location. I hope this one is on the same level; if so, it'll likely be my new go-to.

Me too. I have a cousin who moved to New Roads a few years back and have been a fan of their food ever since.
My office is 2 minutes from there, so if we can ever figure out when they are opening, it will likely turn into our lunch spot.

You need to calm down. Maybe they aren't announcing it to the world so they can get the kinks worked out before the word hits the street and they get slammed. FYI they opened today.

Went yesterday.

Food was good. Maybe a bit overpriced but what isn't nowadays. Will eat again.

I don't know how.
They already own a successful restaurant and have been waiting for quite some time to open it. Why hide the date is all I'm asking.
Thanks for that info! We will try it out soon.

I don't know
Maybe they don't want that typical slam new restaurants get that sometimes affects initial quality
I'm gonna wait or month or two before fighting the crowds or go during off hours to give it a try

Glad I hopped on the FDB this week!

Wife and I went today for lunch and both thought it was very good. I didn’t realize Hot Tails was a counter order/table delivery type place, but that’s cool. Bar set up is fairly small, but as a previous poster said - be a good spot for a brew and a bite during a game.

We had Cup of Seafood Gumbo (Crab & Shrimp), 1/2 Shrimp Poboy w Fries & “Swamp Thing” Burger w Onion Rings.

Shrimp Poboy had their house made “Spillway Sauce” drizzled the top of nice sized shrimp. Spicy and tasty. Shrimp were cooked perfectly.

“Swamp Thing” Burger was ordered Medium Rare and it was delivered Medium Rare.

Onion rings are thin and crispy - same batter (I think) that was on my shrimp. They were really good, IMO.

100% will go back. 2 thumbs up.
