So I have a work deal that will keep me away on Saturday. Heard mixed things about the night party. I will of course enjoy the music, but will I be able to get some good food too?
Hoping like hell for good weather this weekend.

Are you asserting or asking a question?

Well the subject has a question mark. Guess I should clean it up a little.

You can get good food. There are vendors and teams will be providing more food Friday this year. Also numerous late night parties. Weather permitting it's going to be a blast.

1/3rd of the teams are serving food Friday night. In addition, Chris Shepherd from Underbelly in Houston is going to be serving a sort of Texas Asian bbq thing.

Friday night is the jam.

I remember hearing a couple of years ago that there were some epic parties on Friday night. Just didn't know how much someone not on a team would enjoy.

Sounds like a few friends and I will be there.

The problem is people walk in the gates and they go to the first 2 teams ( which are usually huge teams throwing private parties) they find out those 2 teams arent serving food and then get on twitter and say "this sucks no one is serving bbq at a bbq fest"

Friday night used to not be a thing for the public and so the Friday night parties were private for the teams. Now that it's open for the public a lot of teams are doing Friday night parties to raise funds. Some of the ritzier ones do fancy parties for their benefactors, but most of the parties anyone can get into them. Just pay the cover. They are great times. Deuce Pigalow throws a great party with special guests and 6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon recreates the Goldmine. Someone else has Soul Rebels playing. There will be plenty to do.

When you walk in the front gate there will be a booth with neon signs, video wall, and a full menu.

Twitter is a special place.

eta...the CCC10K after party was moved to the fields. It got a little sloppy when it rained for a few minutes. I hope they get some sun this week. My boots are ready.

Dancing in the mud to DJ Jubilee's iphone playlist not your thing?

Friday night is much more organized and accessible now compared to even 2 years ago.

Got 2 trucks of hay, sand, pump trucks and 2k linear feet of plywood ready to go. If teams read their emails* and dont drive through field, we will be fine.

*they wont.
