Hebert's of Maurice is great. The OG of the genre. Don't give them as much biz with Chris,etc..now available in BR.
Hebert's has that Tulsa outpost, and also one on I-45 across from the Woodlands-Tx.

The Hebert's in Addison is still open. Just stopped in on my lunch break.

The one right off the tollway by Addison circle was open when we drove by on July 3rd for kaboom town.

Maurice and Youngsville locations are owned and operated by the original Hebert family. Not sure about the 90 one but I'm from Maurice. I could find out about the 90 location real quick. I would assume it's the Hebert family running it.
All the out of state locations (Houston, Dallas, Tulsa) are franchised locations. They still must be trained in the entire seasoning, stuffing, prep process. And have to comply to the QC of the original location.
Anyway, living in NYC now, Hebert's is one thing I miss most about living in Maurice. But I do get a few things shipped occasionally

How do you move from Maurice LA to NYC?
Holy fricking culture shock. I'm still adjusting to smaller town LA from Chicago.

Haha. I've always belonged here. Being in BR for a few years helped. And I was in NOLA almost every weekend. Traveled to some big cities, including NYC, quite a bit. So it wasn't that bad.
Two very different places, but here was very easy for me to adjust to.

I was mistaken about the store in Dallas being closed. There are two identical shopping centers on the same block and one of them is completely cleared out, but it's not the one with the Hebert's in it. I must not have been paying close attention that morning.
Seems like they are still open though.

Soon to be opening one in lake Charles. Looking forward to it. I've heard good things so far.

Anyone know anything about this place?
Grew up eating a lot of stuffed chickens, the shrimp dressing one is my favorite. All of their stuff at the Maurice and Broussard (moving down the road in pretty near future I believe) locations are great. The turducken was invented at the Maurice location.
Sammy, the owner, is a miracle worker on the grill and helped inspire a few menu items at The French Press. Chef Justin Girouard is one of his nephew-in-laws so on the menu you'll see things like "Uncle Sammy's grillades" and "Hebert's boudin" mentioned.
