First off, Happy Twelfth Night.

Carnival is my favorite time of year. What's going to be everyone's beverage of choice this season? It makes for a long day(days) on my end... getting up early to set up chairs... staying late to drag home beads. But, I love it.

So, what's everyone planning to drink out along the route this year?

Follow up: are you a neutral ground or sidewalk side kinda person?

12th night was actually last night, no harm, no foul.

I'll be doing cheap beer. It's cheap. It's easy. If you loose a few on the route, no sweat. Maybe mix up a makers and ginger for the walk.

Neutral ground side. Need to have options on which side of the ave to duck when the bullets start flying.

I usually go cheap too. I've traded many a Miller HL more than once for a Zulu coconut.

I'm looking to step up my game a bit this year.

I'll be drinking an assortment of craft beer out of cans. Rebirth will likely be the most frequent though.

I mainly hit the parades that go down Magazine so there is no neutral ground. MG Day I can be found early on the sidewalk at the corner of Polymnia and St Chuck. Gone by the the the trucks roll. Frenchman or bust after that.

Good luck with the neutral ground side on Napoleon this year. I've been told it ain't happening (at least for much of Napoleon). Sidewalk only unless they've changed their plans.

No way all that work will be done in 40 days It sucks because we usually set up for a lot of parades out there. It's going to be a madhouse this year.

I'll have bloody marys from Hotel Cazan, hot damn from Fred's and budlight from tigers.

Going to be a great Mardi Gras.

I will be shocked and pleasantly surprised if they have Napoleon neutral ground side ready for parades. As of right now, I'm operating under the assumption that the Napoleon stretch of the parade route is going to suck for us neutral ground riders.

Haha that shite won't be ready for Mardi Gras 2016 ya heard me ? I'm not expecting it to be a mad house, but I wouldn't be shocked either if it causes a cluster for my go to spot. Fingers crossed.

This will be my first ever time going to Mardi Gras. I have this phobia of not having a place to pee, so I've never gone. But I think we have an apartment this year.

Nervous.

Jones should be well seasoned to know what's up. MG is definitely one of those things where knowing where do go and how to go can effect the level of fun or misery you have.
