What happened to GF?

I always though GF's beer was really good when fresh, but they never really did anything interesting so they kind of fell off the map for me. The last time I thought to buy West Coast IPA there was dust on the bottles so I passed.

Bad distributor? Too many other good/great options? who knows...

Drink local if you have the option.

stopped buying package beer from them after they discontinued rayon vert.

I will drink west coast IPA and seasonals on draft.

I hear you and I drink local if the beer is good... but if it's not I don't.

I'm not supporting a bad beer/brewery just because of my proximity to the brewery.

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I like Green Flash.

When I see them fresh, I enjoy picking up West Coast, Palate Wrecker, Soul Style and Green Bullet. Also, their Double Stout is actually quite tasty too, considering IPAs is about the only thing you see from them.

I have forgotten about double stout. I know just where to find it as well. Gonna have to revisit.

Thanks

I get onions from it as well, particularly as it ages. But I get that a lot from beers with Mosaic hops. Others don't seem to get that from Mosaic, but apparently I'm sensitive to it.

I'm with you on this. Maybe you just put the idea in my head, I dunno

The only time I ever get a hint of onion from mosaic is when BMoney brings it up.

I got some of it when I had a bottle of Yellow Rose last, and he was nowhere to be found

I know that I've picked it up enough to know I won't use Mosaic in my homebrew since I can't drink it fast enough.

The onion thing I've noticed the most with the old Stone Ruination before 2.0. Same cause?

Apparently your palate is suspect too.

But everybody knows that Galaxy >>>>>> Mosaic anyway.

The Handshake IPA collab with Alpine is great. But I'm with you. If their stuff on the shelves was fresher, I'd probably drink it more often.

Liked the old recipe commotion better which I thought was awesome for LA to put being putting out, new tastes like onions honestly

That's your palate talking. I've had IPAs and PAs that tasted onion-y, but never Commotion.
