I just started grinding about a week ago, and I'm still trying to figure out the art of a fine or coarse grind, but I was curious if it was bad to freeze coffee beans.

TIA

I'll leave the right/wrong debate to others, but I store mine tightly sealed in the freezer

It's not bad at all, but the secret is to vacuum seal them. Air is coffee's enemy when keeping beans fresh.

Buy fresh from a local roaster and store in an airtight container then use with in a month. Freeze leftovers, not coffee beans.

If you're grinding fine enough for espresso, be sure to use a decent burr grinder.
I'll store in freezer at times..il usually have some decaf tucked away for guests.
