I'm going to be caught in the Biloxi area for a few days. Are there any can't miss food spots I need to hit? Mostly thinking seafood but if there are any other spots I need to look into I'm all ears. I would also like to pick up some shrimp and oysters to bring home with me. Are there any good places to direct buy off of the boats or do I just need to hit up a seafood market?

You should get a Banh Mi from Le (pronounced Lee) Bakery, namely the Special Combination Cold Cuts w/Pate. Get a couple of them.

Hit up Shaggy's for some oysters and beer.

The only good direct to the public seafood wholesaler I know, mostly because it's the one closest to me, is Jerry Forte in the Pass Cristian harbor. Crystal Seas if you want to pick up a box of oysters.

Behind the hard rock casino are a few shrimp boats you can buy straight off the boat.

We got two 35lb boxes of oysters for $90 a couple of weekends ago. They were cleaned and every single one was good.

Had the Half-Shell Oyster House at the Hard Rock in Biloxi last weekend. Food was absolutely amazing!

There is a Half Shell Oyster Bar in the Hard Rock, but I like the one across the street a block from the beach. My favorite restaurant in Biloxi is the BR Prime in the Beau Rivage. I will be there the weekend after Easter.

Don't make the mistake I did by going to a liquor store to purchase beer. It's illegal in Mississippi to sell beer in liquor stores. I'm still scratching my head over that one.

You ever get Banh Mi from Le's. Their bread is insane...and stupidly cheap by the baguette.

The only things I would add to this list are

Hit quality seafood in biloxi if looking for more than shrimp, they have a decent selection.

While Mary Mahoneys is not quite what it used to be it is still well worth the trip. ( acroos the street from the Beau)

The Hard Rock has one of the best Ruth's Chris I have ever been into.

If just looking for lunch then White Cap or Mcelroy's are not bad choices, they have thrown a few new joints up next to Shaggy's in Biloxi, have been to one but can not remember the name for sure (Reef?) it was ok.

Agree on the half shell. Great restaurant, great atmosphere. Forgot I was in Biloxi momentarily.
