Wife and I are trying to decide where to go eat for our anniversary and we are considering Ruths Chris or Flemings. Is there some where else we should be considering or are these places ideal for a good steak?

I have been to both of those places you mention and while Fleming's was good, I think RC had a better steak.

I have eaten good steaks at Ruffino's and Juban's as well. But niether of those compared to the RC steak. This is of course JMHO.

Flemings is a huge chain across the country. Ruth's is a chain too but at least it started in new orleans

You can't go wrong with either. However, should you want a truly rememberable anniversary, go to Coyote Blues for the steak chimichanga with corn grits and southwestern mashed potatoes as sides.

What does this have to do with the question?

I didn't read any of that because of that smoking hot girl you have as your avatar.

Nicer doesn't mean a better meal by an means. I'd thrown rocks at either Ruth's or Flwmings if Coyote was beside them.

If its just steak you are after I prefer Ruth's. If steak is not mandatory I would choose Houmas House.

I don't know, but it's damn fine. I'm a whore for Coyote Blues. It's the only thing I miss about BR at all. Wife and I used to live in Southdowns and would get it to go twice a week.

I just had a steak last night at Latil's Landing at the Houmas House and it was quite good but it paled in comparison to the venue. The grounds at the plantation are stunning to say the least.

I've only been to Fleming's once. Steaks were okay, but I like Ruth's Chris much better.
