I have smoked chuck roast before, I prefer the butts over the chuck though. Beef is a bit drier to me than pork. If you get chuck make sure it has good marbling or wrap the beef with bacon....

I have a day job but I play at least 4 times a month for local cover bands on top of giving lessons out d my home. I use an electronic drumset to practice for the most part....

I use squared Egg crate foam 1/4 of the width of the diameter of the drum held in place by Velcro straps. Make sure the foam touches both heads...

Anyone ever tried these? I usually go to Peppers but they want 1.99 for select. I'm skeptical of the other guys because the signs are made with white poster board and spray paint. :lol:...
