Well that's always a debatable discussion. Ruth's has gotten better over the last couple years because they saw the handwriting on the wall. And if you go enough or just ask Flemings will sell the reserves by the glass even when listed by the bottle only.

They both rely to heavily on Caymus, Silveroak and Staggs Leap.

And for Baton Rouge the best wine list in the city is Ruffinos with Marcellos a not so close second but getting better.

Best Steaks in BR, IMO

1) Ruffino's (Great bar area)
2) Stroube's (Best place for a night on the town and best overall dining experience)
3) Sullivan's (More of a swanky fun place)
4) Ruth's
5) Flemings

Ruth's
Flemings
Sullivan's

I love all three. If someone asked me where I wanted to go for my B-day, I'd say Ruth's. But I love all three TBH.

2. Ruffino's
3. Ruth Chris
4. Tsunami (sumo ribeye)

10. Sullivan's

Would like to try Stoube's one day, but don't get back to BR much anymore.
