I've seen others agree with this. I have had a great experience at 5 Guys every time I've been. Better than any true fast food, and damn close to any sit-down place.

Yea my burger has always been great with fresh topping and good fries.

Seems very inconsistent maybe

Sonic is way better than Wendy's or McDonald's. McDonald's burgers blow plain and simple.

Say what? Sonic is disgusting. The burger is too thin to classify as a burger and the fried taste like cardboard. I would rather eat the cheapest beef heart burger out of the freezer than sonic. Shits disgusting.

Them's fightin words right there !!! You want to meet somewhere, maybe uh, how about Sonic !!!

When's the last time you have been? Sonic has changed their hamburger patty in the last couple years. I don't know if I have eaten Sonic fries. I always get onion rings (fantastic) or tater tots with cheese or the tots with cheese and chili.

That's the thing with a chain's restaurants though, they are not all equal. Hell, I have two Popeye's about the same distance from my house. If you are getting dark meat you can go to either place. If you want juicy tender white meat and fresh crispy fries you have to go the one that is a little further away but it is more than worth the extra 1/2 mile.

Then you either don't live in New Orleans like is said under your username, you travel and don't like eating good food, or you just don't eat many hamburgers.

I live in New Orleans, I travel and eat good food, and I eat many burgers. Looks like you're 0-3 on those assumptions.

ETA: I don't eat fast food or chains much, but I've had a burger from La Petite Grocery and Cowbell just this week

Not the first time. Not a good trend though. I was only wrong once all of last year.

Well good. I was going to ask how you could only eat at three burger places and have any idea how good the other ones were. I guess your quote was only about chain burger places.

You:

they are definitely better than the others and the only fast food burgers that I'll eat.

Only fast food/chain burgers that I eat, I eat burgers from local spots all the time.

No problem with that. I think it was your demarcation comment that got me to read the rest of your post.

That's what's great about America and the US of A. We don't all like the same stuff. If we did there would only be one burger joint in the country.

I'm not a food snob and will admit that I eat at McDonalds sometimes. I like their big breakfast, sausage biscuit with grape jelly or syrup and the sausage McMuffin. The last two items are only a dollar but don't tell anyone - people will look down at me if they knew. I like the McDouble and every once in a while (once or twice a year) have to have a Big Mac.

I do this also. The best burgers I have had since living in Houston came from a Chinese restaurant that delivered and Fajita Willies - which isn't known for their burgers but should be - IMO their fajitas aren't very good.

Five Guys burgers are bland and dry. It's what fat hillbillies in West Virginia would love

2 Interesting facts:

Shaq owns 10% of all Five Guys locations.

Wendy's and Five guys have the same burger.
