Wendy's? Really? What puts Wendy's in the top 5 of burger chains?

They are building one of these in Knoxville and should be done in a few months, I am looking forward to trying it.
Having said that Cook Out should be on that list, great burgers/food at a very low price. I think it tastes very similar to Five Guys but it costs at least 50% less.

McDonald's is a true national chain and should fare decently on an "America's favorite burger chain". Wendy's and Sonic also, even though there are probably a lot more Wendy's than Sonics.

Whataburger has stores in 10 states. Besides Texas and maybe Oklahoma, I doubt any of the states have more than a handful of locations - Arizona, Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma.

In-N-Out Burger is only available in six states. Not sure about the others but for businesses only available in 10 and 6 states to be voted in the top 10 on NATIONAL burger chains is kind of surprising to me.

There's a 5 guys opening soon where I live in Chain Central. I'll be waiting to see how long the line out the door is when they open.

When the Habit Burger opened here, there was a line of 25+cars in the drive through.

Culvers would be #1 if it was either more widespread or not based in the midwest. In-n-out is more well known due to being based in the western part of the country. The more that Culvers spreads (there is one in Charlotte, one south of Atlanta, and some in Florida just off the top of my head) then I think people will realize it is much better. Fried cheese curds on the side and frozen custard for dessert....mmmm

There should be a line of demarcation between the top 3 and the rest of the list. 5 guys, Shake Shack, and In-N-Out is probably how I'd rank them, but they are definitely better than the others and the only fast food burgers that I'll eat.

Sonic is way better than Wendy's or McDonald's. McDonald's burgers blow plain and simple.
