They were delicious!!!

Can't believe I've been missing out on these.

Now raw?.....no way I'm doing that again.

Well don't go overboard. A fresh, ice cold, salty, raw gulf oyster is one of Gods most special graces.

That said I am a charbroiled fan.

We had our anniversary dinner at Drago's a few years back. Finally talked my wife, 2 of our friends, my sister and her husband into trying these. Now, they insist on having them whenever we are at a place that serves them.

yeah, they still won't eat em raw though.

I don't eat raw oysters but love Chargrilled. My favorite so far have been in DC at Old Ebbit grill. They add Tasso to theirs and it is something else.

I don't mind charbroiled oysters, but I think they area a horrible value when dining out. You can make up a box, 100 oysters, for less than $50 at home, so paying $20 a dozen just rubs me wrong. I'll eat one every time they get ordered, but I can usually find something on the app menu I'm more interested in.

I like raw, but I generally just want a couple.

When my mother in law died she had about 5 dozen scallop shells she used to serve a crab dish in. I inherited them and now I use them for charbroiled oysters. When done I put them in the dishwasher. That way if I don't feel like shucking which is always I can just buy whatever size I want and have them. Makes it easy on a Tuesday night to have them. A big green egg does a great job too.

Scallop shells are nice. Reminds me...on our 30A trip this year we want bay scalloping in Apalachicola and charbroiled them up. Wow.

Never had an issue with raw oysters.

I bet many people don't know how to eat them.

Hint: Chew them. Never just swallow without chewing. Of course, this is horrible advice for a different endeavor.
