What part of Costa Rica are you in? Had some awesome food in Quepos when I was there a few years ago. Best thing is food and alcohol are dirt cheap.

Near La Cruz

The beer isn't very good, so it's back to rum

Next is 12 yr old Flor de Caña

Much prefer Pilsen and Bavaria to Imperial. But Rum is not a bad option

The Pilsen isn't much of a step up

The gift shop has some local craft beer I will probably try this week, an amber, a red and a wheat. For research, of course.

Stepping in to help out OP. Not only is he not posting beer, he's also not posting stinkdog pics of the local "scenery." I can forgive one, but not the other.

Is Montezuma built up now? That peninsula was awesome ~20 years ago.

Firestone Walker Brewing Co. - To clarify, this is a very limited release (only 600 cases total) and will not see distribution.

FBD, 1 of a welcome trio of Alpine bottles on our shelves.

Not really my FBD but... Here's a pic of our key lime wheat beer. Nice and tart and tasty.

First time trying anything from Alpine. Very nice. Definitely tastes like something Green Flash would brew, a positive in my preference, but seems to have to bit more of a nose than most GF hoppy beers.
