Keep them cool and I'll trade you some homebrew for them the next time my brother and I brew something.

I really think I just have one left

I'd certainly trade some home brew or something though

next time you decide to run a few hundred miles, some on down

While I'd REALLY like to have a beer today, I think I'll pass.

I'm freaking PUMPED about our hops though.

Planted April 3rd.
They're probably 15' tall/long and loaded with cones.

That's a small cone that fell on the ground. It's sticky and smelly in the best way possible.

We were talking today about brewing something but I think we are going to try and upgrade our setup a bit. All of our equipment is down in Baton Rouge at his place, so I have to make a long haul either way!

I've been itching to get a setup for my house here in Texas. I'm not sure my wife would be up for me to go running all morning and then come home and brew all afternoon

You have no idea.

The tops are loaded with hops I've been paying attention to the eye level stuff because they're putting out buds down there. Then I go to check on them today and see a cone on the ground. I picked it up and squeezed/smelled it and what do you know I'm standing under an assload of hops. Chinooks have been champs this year. Can't say the same for the Cascades but I'm happy nonetheless.

FBD Equinox Zenith IPA in Ft Collins, Co.
There are a lot of frigid craft beer joints in this town.

Are you using yours as fresh hops or drying them somehow?

I plan to try to brew with them this weekend but I may pick some tomorrow.

FBD: Sweetwater 420

BayouBengal if you're lurking this thread.. first off way to get completely shite-faced on Saturday night. Secondly, thanks for the two 6-packs of Sweetwater. Hope you kept some for yourself.

Just saw your pics. Those look great for first year. I haven't really thought about using my hops. I don't have nearly the quantity you do.

SBD. Well damn, they tapped a Firestone Anniversary Ale and it was gone in 10 minutes. So I'm having an Epic Imperial IPA instead.

We're thinking about brewing a Czech Pils here pretty soon.

They're one of the few lagers I actually enjoy.
Hopefully you can try it sometime around Oktoberfest.

Those hops look great. I'd like to see and smell them IRL. Y'all are in Jackson this weekend, right?

Yep. They smell delicious.

I would hope I might have some still hanging the next few days or early next week and maybe a second harvest so let me know and come on over anytime.

Thanks, we'll make that happen.

No more beer for me tonight. Like you, the calorie factor is making me cut back on my intake--at least during the week.

Sipping on a Gin and Tonic right now...
And no, I still haven't had that Gin drink you've told me about.
