At least you did not have it at the Epic Tasting!

ETA: when I visit you, I'll bring the ingredients for a good Dark and Stormy.

Drinking a dark and stormy myself. Gosling ginger beer and Appleton Estate Extra dark rum. Quite the summer drink!

haha, i still love them but i just dont enjoy the gueuze's (and others at this level of sourness) as much as i used to. Its not only the sour but oversour and high carb. Id rather it nearly flat.

Last time i had a cantillon gueuze, i let it sit for a couple hours. Drank half and finished it off about 24 hours later. I guess, for me, they need to breath

Only made it 13 miles. The ankle I rolled in Leadville flared up to the point where I couldn't go further without risking injury.

So, back home my recovery brew is a Heady Topper. Thanks rutiger.

So good. Problem is, every DIPA I taste now gets compared to Heady-Topper.

TBD is a Tool/Mikkeller Ov-ral IIPA. Wow, very different. Belgian yeast, but lots of sour funk. Hops a bit subdued. But this one is more of a wild ale/sour than I ever imagined. s14suspense would love this one. tetu would be on the fence.

Well that's good. I blindly picked it up the other day.

Not at all what I expected. I just figured it was a typical DIPA. No idea it had brett and so much funk to it.
