FW DJ, hands down prefer it over Pliny
Same here.
Then you should try this Hop Venom stuff. Made by a guy who worked for FW and used DJ as model. Too bad you can't get it down there...

One day. Did you get your car back today?
FedEx hates Hop Venom.

Welcome
Just remember, one bottle one beer, except when two nights two beers, and Pliny sucks

I have been carefully observing the rules before participating, but thanks for the reminders!

You have a lovely assortment of Kitchenaid utensils.
Thanks for noticing - I was wondering what would make an appearance in the background...

Update from Denver with kp816.
Epic tasting was indeed epic.
Pretty incredible to think how long these beers have aged. Personally I wasn't able to drive when a few were created.
All aged pretty awesomely.
Overall favorite was 03.03.03.
All were pretty accurate to their website tasting notes.

My favorite utensil in there is the wooden spoon. I cook mostly with wooden spoons, and yours is obviously well-used. Welcome to the club

I initially said NBD, but after finally replacing my phone I figured that best way to prove it was worth it was to use it for its intended purpose -- by that I obviously mean taking pictures of beer. And if I'm going to take a pic I have to drink a beer, so FBD is an Abominable Winter Ale from bbrou33. I'm really enjoying this brew.

Was this available at a bar somewhere in Denver??

Bbrou,
Yes sir. Falling rock taphouse.
Didn't have all of them but was well worth it.

Abiding by the one beer per night guideline. However, it's Tueaday night, and having a Four Roses Single Barrel while watching Justified

Be patient, grasshopper. It will happen soon.
No. I'm told the car will be ready tomorrow. Might celebrate with a beer.
BTW - The new Nike cafe in my building opened last week, and they sell beer. How cool is that? Of course, the only beers they have are Widmer's Heffe and Ninkasi's IPA. I was bummed, but then I thought, "Man, I am being a dick about this. It's still craft beer." They don't sell before 11:00 AM, though, so as long as y'all stay on you're game, I won't be starting any FBD threads...

NBD: Crooked stave Vieille saison. Tasty.
Kennypowers got an epic elder Brett.
The guy who runs the Crooked Stave taproom bought us a beer because he liked our order. Nice guy. Denver is quite the step up from Houston and BR.

I liked that one a lot, too. I'm not a big amber ale fan, unless they are hopped up. HUB makes some fine beers.

Almost ordered that on tap the other day. I was debating the "Crooked Stave" desire with the fact that I really wanted a stout. Stout won. I'll get the CS next time.
3 out of 4 posts are mine. Guess you can tell I'm sitting on the scrapper with nothing else to do...
