Oranges and Satsumas

Occasionally I like a really sour green apple.

am I the only person around who eats the lemon and orange peels?

I do eat the orange peel after I'm done with the orange sometimes. If it looks good. I love kumquats though so it's not really that much of a stretch honestly.

Lemon peels I've only ever used in drinks or for cooking. Never crossed my mind to eat those, but I don't ever really eat lemons as a stand alone fruit anyway.

To answer the OP, I'd go with raspberries as my one fruit, but honestly most of them at peak ripeness are really awesome. Bananas, oranges, pineapple, peaches, most of the berries, watermelon all are amazing when they're perfectly ripe. I'd put the following in a lower class than the above ones: apples, plums, cantaloupe or honey dew, blueberries, pears.

Persimmon.
(Fresh from the backyard... definitely not the store bought kind.)

Kiwi or Dragonfruit. Something about the texture and the milder flavor.

As a kid I thought they were called permissions. Still love them. My aunt had a citrus farm in Larose. They had about 40-50 persimmon trees, we would eat them till we were sick.

Pineapple. Extra credit for a light sprinkling of coarse salt.

I'm not even sure if they're my favorite fruit to be honest.
My grandparents had a tree in their backyard, so I think they just remind me of my childhood more than anything.
