There is a reason we don't have British restaurants here.

I look for Indian. Head over to Brick Lane.

Also had great Indian in Fitzrovia last trip at Palms of Goa. Three peppers was all I could handle. Waiter dude sized me up as a 3 pepper customer, and he was right. It was delicious, but 4 peppers might have killed me.

Also had two good Turkish meals within a few blocks of the British Museum.

The Bloomsbury Hotel is a great spot for a visit to London. Affordable, nice, and right by a central tube station.

I could use restaurant recommendations in Scotland, we'll be all over.

Indian food. You can have similar quality here to, like in Washington DC, NY and Chicago, We went to a place in DC last month that blew as away.

Give Chicken Tikka Masala a shot in any of a million places that serves that dish. MO two places will be the same but it should be good regardless. Not called the national dish of GO for no reason!

Full English breakfast add black pudding, at the Regency Cafe. Amazing local atmosphere to boot.

Also, there's great pub fare out there, just have to search the web for the good ones. British food done right is really tasty.

The Pierhouse in Port Appin has a great seafood platter.
