Had a couple of Karbachtoberfests Sunday night.

Last year Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale had a pumpkin flavored ale out in the fall. Hopefully they will issue it again. Quite tasty.

Eta...definitely don't drink exotic ones, Sam Adam, St. Arnold, and Sierra Nevada all taste good to me.

The systems the national and regional guys have can make some damn good oktoberfests that you won't find in many of the small time operations. They are finely engineered systems that can crank out some flawless lagers.

How many do you want? I've got a case made up of '12s-'15s. The '16s will be coming soon.

Call me old school, but to me nothing better than a crisp fall Saturday with something in the smoker and a Spaten Octoberfest in my hand.

Just curious, this being my first year really getting into stouts. Is the Breakfast stout readily available in the BR area when they hit the shelves?

Yes. I think Calandro's on Perkins has it already.

Chimes LSU has it on tap, but I think it's last year's. They usually stock up on kegs and keep it on tap year round.

I always see people posting this. I'll be giving it a try as soon as I see it on the shelf.

Check Matherne's Bluebonnet. They had some singles out on Sunday.

KBS is released April 1st every year, so we're over 6 months away from the next release. Some places may hold on to a keg or some bottles until a special occasion though.

It is a great one. Get at least 2 4-packs, it will disappear fairly quickly.
