Watched a video in the Pastalaya thread and Ive worked with some folks who do rinse their meat before cooking it. I don't but I'm interested to see how many people do this.

The latest recommendations from the "experts" say don't rinse. It just spreads any contamination there might be. Cooking's going to kill the bad bugs anyway.

I never rinse anything unless I drop it, which happens more often than I'd like to admit.

I rinse fish and chicken because I like to trim them up, clean them up. Not beef or pork unless I get pork chops cut with bone fragments which happens from time to time when you buy your poke in the hood.

I always rinse meat (beef, chicken, seafood) bought at the market. It's stupid not to do so.

Do you have a reason?

We had a cookout at work and a couple fellas about flipped their lid when our boss took some leg quarters out of bag, seasoned them and put them on the grill.
