I know I should've planned earlier, but trying to get a 7-8pm reservation (table for 4) somewhere the second Friday of Jazz Fest. I was able to get a 5:45pm reservation at La Petite Grocery, but was hoping to eat later. Tried Clancy's, Patois, Coquette, and Lilette with no such luck. Anything in the Uptown area that might be worth a shot? Jamila's Cafe?

Price range? Any of Emeril's. Commanders? Bayona? GW Finns?

Everything will be booked. That 5:45 is way too early. Jamila's or Cote Sud could work. Cote Sud is cash only, though.. or check.

ETA: Perhaps Vincent's on St Charles.

Does it have to be Uptown? Use OpenTable to look if you haven't already.

Luke, Domenica, Mila, Marcello's, Johnny Sanchez, Desi Vega's, Galatoire's, Borgne, SoBou, Pelican Club, Emeril's, La Boca, and several more all have reservations at better times.

Seeing some Basin and Salu for Uptown area.

Mr. Johns.. Square Root if you wanna ball out.

It isn't as late as he wants, but it's 6:15.

Could go to a place without reservations like Mariza or The Franklin.

How is this place? Debating keeping my 5:45pm reservation at La Petite or go here or Dante's Kitchen (haven't been in 3 years) for later dinner.

All things equal, I prefer LPG, but CM is nice. As other said, excellent cocktail list and some solid food.
