Let me congratulate you in the official thread, Gris. I said it earlier in another thread, but you deserve to be congratulated multiple times!

Darla Hood for 2013...

Darla, Caple, and Meridian have really shown up on my F&D Board radar lately. I don't know why I didn't notice their great posts as much before. Maybe they/I posted less

And congrats, Gris!

I'm pretty sure they are relatively new FDB posters, at least Darla and Caplewood.

It's just proof of what a simple, country upbringing can do for a person. While most kids were out running wild the streets, young Gris was on Granny's farm slopping hogs, milking chickens, feeding cows and whatnot. It was tough love around the Gris farm with chores starting at daylight and lasting till dark. The saying "working from can to can't" was coined by young Gris at age 3. While most girls were getting Barbe dolls young Gris was getting a new hay fork. Although she did not realize it then, her simple upbringing was laying the foundation for a lifelong of accomplishments. Which all culminated yesterday as she reached the pinacle of success. The prestigious TD Emeril. Take a bow Gris. After you finish mucking out the stalls of course.

Congrats but Carson should have won based solely on his Uppity Chicken.

Meridian is laying claim to the 2014 with his explosion of pic posts.

Darla is in the mix.

Cajunate can't be far behind.

2013 is going to be a fun year on the food board.

Congrats Gris. I would like to get a feel for how R2R got into the picture though.

Well said Balls!

I understand she had to walk three miles through the snow to get to the chicken house to milk those hens, too.

All for the approval of her dear sainted Granny, with no thought or desire for obtaining the admiration of the FADB.

If I had won I had already told Brag that I was going to cede the award to you because you were the most deserving. That, and I won last years.

GG is definitely deserving. I am not sure why I was in the running since about all I do is drink beer and post about drinking beer and then drink more beer. I don't see any way to drink more beer in 2013 than I did in 2012. I will endeavor to persevere though.
