Usually, the Metro Council rubber stamps these kinds of things. Especially if the neighbors are cool with it. I could be very wrong, but this seems like it will zip through. I'm pretty jazzed about the idea

I'm interested to see what would be behind the glass regularly. Anything set in stone?

I thought it meant some good craft-made meats.

I had Besh's pâté for lunch at August. Can't imagine making that day in and day out.

Best of luck CityPork.....Grew up in Southdown's/Overpass area, great to know that area is really getting some great places, wasn't that way when I left in '98!! LOL

Orlando being a veritable culinary wasteland in most instances with a few exceptions(tourist plates ) could use a place like City Pork....if you're interested in expanding!

Any word on this? I really hope this place is good. From all I've read about the proprietors, I believe it will be.

ETA: Didn't realize this thread was from last year.

Is this place open yet? I am excited about this. My fiancee' bought me a charcuterie book for christmas. I didn't realize the equipment needed for this. Safe to say, i don't have the space to do this. I can choose to continue to brew beer, or make cured meats. I believe beer wins out.

Doesn't appear so. They were updating Facebook regularly and they were trying to open in May, but May is quickly passing by and they aren't open.

Ah...This is what they refer to as 1st world problems .

I was just hoping somebody might know if they have an updated status on these guys.

Yeah. I don't see it either. Charcuterie works on me and I am far from a hipster.
