Would not be my first thought with a cigar. How were they?

I know you are putting a fork down right now so great choice for that. Sometimes when I have reached my caloric intake for the day I will just have a cup of coffee with a cigar.

I'm probably not the best person to ask. Many more here have far more expertise.

I like to just try stuff and see what I like. Quickly you will be discovering which blends and strengths etc....you prefer.

I think the Padron 1964 is a great premium to start with...can be found for around 20 bucks at retail places and cheaper online.

Warning...this will spoil you starting out with one this good.

Yes - that stick will quickly spoil you. A Liga Privada No 9 will as well.

If you're a fan of maduros, Brickhouse makes a great maduro stick in a robusto size for less than $7 per stick.

Undercrown Shade is a fantastic beginner smoke. Light, creamy, relatively inexpensive, but still has some very complex flavors.

Rainy day - I predict I'll find myself at Habana Port before lunch. Gonna be a good one.

The Oliva serie V melanio that I posted earlier is a fantastic smoke. Can be had at retail stores for around 8 bucks....cheaper online. Quickly becoming a go to smoke for me. May buy a box soon.

I've decided I don't have an $8 cigar palate so I'm ok with what
I ordered:

4 – Diesel Rage Perfecto (6”x 60)
4 – Ave Maria Divinia Perfecto (6”x 60)
4 – Man O War Ruination Perfecto (6”x 60)
4 – La Herencia Cubana Core Perfecto (6”x 60)
4 – HC Squared Habano Perfecto (6”x 60)
4 – Nub Café Espresso (4”x60)
4 – Nub Café Macchiato (4”x60)
4 – Nub Café Cappuccino (4”x60)
20- HC Series Black Maduro

52 cigars for $165 which includes the shipping. $3.17 each and I'm set for several months heading into fishing season!

Fishing season=sitting in chair with cigar and an IPA or stout looking at cork. Fish catching optional and infrequent.

They're by far the best in town. Smaller, but more diverse selection with more of a focus on boutique brands instead of the big conglomerates. Luis and Arturo are absolute cigar nerds. I can't speak highly enough of the shop.

$8 can get you some fantastic stuff. Take a look at 7-20-4, Tatuaje Series P, Illusione, Cubanacan (especially the Soneros)

Habana Port is an incredible place. Visited often when I lived in the area. Luis and Arturo taught me tons about cigars. Very knowledgeable guys and extremely helpful. I still visit when I make it down to BR and they remember me by name. I could easily order cigars online but there's something about going in their store and having them recommend cigars based on what they already know I like. Can't say enough good things about the place.

Do they sell pipes and pipe tobacco? Besides cigars I'm thinking about enjoying a pipe every now and then.

Yup. Large selection of both. They have loose tobacco and tins.
