Cigar Recommendations?

First, get yourself a humidor if you do not have one.
Second, start ordering from www.cigarinternational.com Their prices are significantly cheaper than what you will pay at a retail store.
Third, do not shy away from a more full bodied cigar. I find that the milder cigars taste more like tobacco which will get you into the situation of a cigarette smelling and tasting cigar.

Cigars to try:
As ATL correctly pointed out Rocky Patel makes some incredible cigars.
Gurkha makes seemingly millions of blends that you can get cheap. Get a Gurkha sampler and see what you like.
Romeo Y Julieta, Macinudo, and Torano make some great mild to medium cigars. Torano Noventa might be a good place to try a medium bodied cigar

La Herencia Cubana is a good medium-full stick. The LHC Oscuro Fuerte is a staple in my humidor and is full bodied, but a great introductory full bodied cigar.

I would suggest making notes on the cigars you smoke. Then, compare your notes to what the write ups say. This way you will know what to look for in a write up when trying a new cigar.

Good Luck and Long ashes

My goto's both on the high end and on the lower end are Padron. The cheaper Padron sticks (3000 and 5000 series) are really good for an everyday smoke. On the higher end is the Padron 1964 anniversary, which is easily one of the best sticks I've ever had.

I enjoy the Fuente Hemmingways.

A good quality, decent value MILD cigar is the 5 Vegas GOLD. It's a little too mild for my taste, but a good smoke. I like a medium to full bodied smoke.

My goto smokes are Hoyo de Monterrey - Black Nights.

Padron are very good smokes too.

I'm not generally into milder smokes but I do love a good candela in the morning. The two best candelas on the market in my humble opinion are the Rocky Patel and Illusion 888.

Outside of the candelas your mild smokes are going to be mostly connecticut wrappers. Great non-candela smokes that are on the mild side would be the Ashton Cabinet, Macanudo Gold Label, Oliva Connecticut Reserve, and the Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 Connecticut.

But as somebody who doesn't really go for Connecticuts, I absolutely LOVE the Villiger Cuellar Connecticut Kreme--Cannot recommend this cigar enough to people who like milder cigars or just like a change of pace.

Something that goes well with boiled turkey.
