Yeah that's an awesome menu especially relative to their prices, but the no reservation thing has kept me from visiting. I figure I'll do an early dinner there some day.

I've heard of this, but I actually think I'm going to do Giordano's for pizza. I've heard it is top notch.

It's good, but don't expect to be blown away. It's good chain Chicago pizza though.

Also, where to go to get pizza greatly depends on what style you're eating. Chicago style thin crust is greatly underrated. It's the best pizza & beer combo you can do IMO

I did Pequod's for Pizza and was not disappointed. It is really far out there so be warned...but it was awesome.

Pequod's is the best pizza of my life. By "far out", I'm assuming you went to the original in Morton Grove? There's one in Lincoln Park off Clybourn that is a cheap uber from downtown.

Either way, couldn't recommend this place more. After having lived in Chicago, I can say with confidence no locals actually eat Giordanos or Uno's. The classic debate is Gino's East vs Lou Malnatis, but I'm partial to Pequods.

Sure

Bricks
Coalfire
Piece
Elio's
Aurelio's (burbs chain)
Vito & Nicks is probably the best, but it's on the southside
Pequod's (been mentioned)

You know honestly, there's a ton of places for great Chicago tavern thin. Most of them are mom & pop joints, and you could put them up against any of the above. Some of the above don't even do tavern style, but their thin is great

Not sure. But if you've never used Uber or Lyft you and your party can all share referral codes and get free rides with Uber and Lyft. Lyft is the same concept as Uber.

For reference a cab ride from Midway is about $40 to the Mag Mile and Uber/Lyft can't pick up from airports in Chicago. Uber/Lyft back to MDW is $20.

Lou Malnati's Downtown

As many have said, The Purple Pig is great

Bar-wise I thought the following were awesome

Three Dots and a Dash
Cool little underground tiki bar

Slugger's
Cool if you're in Wrigleyville. We hit it up after a Cubs game.

Kingston Mines
Kingston Mines if you wanna hear some good rockin' music in a grungier bar

Going to the original is cool and all, but there are better pizza places than this.

The Chicago Chop House was outstanding. I had the mishima short bone ribeye and it was the best steak, probably the best meal, I'd ever eaten in my life.

25 degrees was a solid craft burger option (especially if you like veggie burgers, as theirs is excellent)

Potbelly is a great chain sandwich place for the money, and their $3 breakfast sandwiches are pretty hard to beat.

Looking forward to Gino's East tomorrow night.
