Headed up in August to catch a couple cubs games. Any must eat places in the area?

The Purple Pig in that area.

I would also eat at Girl & The Goat (not in that area).

I'll be there in August too. So far I've booked Girl and the Goat and Blackbird. Blackbird is highly rated, and they do a 3-course lunch for $22/person.

For fine dining, Sixteen in the Trump hotel looks amazing. Expensive at night, but if you have a free lunch time, the 6-course meal is $78/person at lunch. Still not cheap, but much less expensive than dinner.

I'll be heading to Giordano's for pizza and then Revolution Brewpub in the Wrigley area after I go to a game.

EL
This might be a place for you. Prix Fixe is usually about 15 courses. It's BYOB. They have a Michelin star. For 2 I think it is about $340 and comparatively speaking that's pretty good for a Michelin stared restaurant in Chicago since they are nearly all prix fixe. It is run more like a dinner party with 10 tables or so per seating. You can walk through the kitchen and talk to the chefs while drinking wine. Pretty cool. Food is very good. Your bill is emailed to you and you pay before you arrive to reserve your seat. 2-3 days before service you will get an email with wine recommendations to pair with your menu since it changes.

Not on MM but public transport is very easy in that area.

The Publican is always a popular rec and has good brunch as well.

Billy Goat Tavern for a cheezburger cheezburger.

Giordanos or Lou Malnati's for deep dish.

Red Head Piano bar for some after dinner drinks and some pretty good music. Get there when they open on weekends.

Publican was a good brunch.

I did Pequod's for Pizza and was not disappointed. It is really far out there so be warned...but it was awesome.

I've heard of this, but I actually think I'm going to do Giordano's for pizza. I've heard it is top notch.

Ah, I'm doing 22nd-26th. Cubs will be playing Braves. You got that cheap flight deal from MSY?

I just read the top review on Yelp, and holy crap. I must do this.

I was not impressed. The atmosphere is kinda ok I guess, but the cheeseburgers are nothing special, at all.

For a (messy) polish sausage, Jim's Original is fantastic. I hear the pork chop sandwich is supposed to be good as well.

Lou Malnati's deep dish is nice, if you like deep dish. Some prefer thin crust pizzas.

Another good lunch spot is Farmhouse (beware of hipsters). Get the cheese curds.

I've been twice. It's definitely a different but fun dining experience. Be warned though, it is in the hood and your Uber or Lyft driver will probably ask if you're sure you've entered your address right. .
