Cheers and Happy New Year to all you cooks out there. Whether domestic or commercial, daily or seasonal, Mom or Pop......here's to the love and effort you personally invest. All just to see people gather together in peace and harmony, to break bread and toast of libations. Smiles and laughter abound in some sort of poetic chaos. And then it's quiet again. I have cooked so many meals in the past month, washed an arse load of pots, pans and trays, made groceries of epic hauls just the same as most of you. In the end, it's still all worth it.
Happy New Year 2024 Foodies!!!
Sharing one of my favorite New Years Day Recipes below, damn good eats (thanks again Mom).

I've made that before -- thanks for the recipe -- and it's good. I typically substitute lady peas or field peas, but for NYD, blackeyed peas are the tradition.
