. For $16 I would rather the burger from Luke.

This seems right. I still need to try Charcoal's, it's very close to my house.

It seems like most of the reviews are on the exotic burgers, has anyone had a regular hamburger?

I didn't like bring forced upstairs and I didn't like being informed of everything they were out of and what they couldn't make because of it before 6 pm on a Saturday. Kind of cast a negative light on everything.

That said my husband did enjoy his burger but would have rather had Phil's Grill. I had a veggie burger and I would give them points for making it in house but it was one dimensional (red beans), fell apart, and lacked seasoning. The fries were loaded with salt though as were the chips. The whole wheat bun was delicious and the toppings fresh but I wanted guac and they were out. We both ordered creole mustard and neither of our burgers had it.

In conclusion, I might go back. But not anytime soon.

Go check it out and come up with your own opinion. I would not recommend going during a busy time until they work some things out. They are new. If you haven't had the High Hat burger yet I would go over there 1st.

A bar and full service seating. Downstairs is counter service but was take out only when we got there which was around 5:30.

Just finished. Got the chef special bison burger. One of the better burgers I have ever had in my life. Service was not very good. Not slow but just rude.

Funny thing my dad pointed out is they just spent several million dollars restoring the building and dont put in an elevator to get to the top floor. Which is the only place they will let you eat. Which isn't complient with ADA

With the insanely high prices of the burgers, bad staff, and lack of accomodations for older people and fatties (target demographic for all burger joints, regardless of what they say) I am giving it 3 months before it goes out of business.

Too many other great burgers for half the price and better experience.

I ate downstairs when I went. Burgers like this are expensive everywhere now a days. A hot dog, fries, and a drink down the street in either direction is the same price. They will be printing money at this place, so I doubt they go out of business. This isn't their first rodeo and have other successful places.

I doubt they'll be printing $.

And with other successful places, why such shitty service and restaurant layout? Did they renovate the building or re-build?

It was new construction. Kimberly Finney was the architect.

Will probably be trying it this weekend. Will post a review when I do.

Heard from some friends that the burger was good but the service was bad. Looks like they spent a lot of money on the place. How can it have bad service straight out the gate. Doesn't make much sense. Will find out for myself soon.
