One other thing about the parking: Has anyone tried to park at the Jackson Brewery lot recently? The prices are ridiculous for weekend nights. They have doubled in the last year or so.

Had to be a devastating blow if his son left the business, I remember seeing him in the news "best dressed" etc.. Father and son working together...

I went years ago and it was a middle of the road dining experience, parked in a local garage, and it wasn't bad or good, just ok. Best of luck to Chef Duke, he has been a major part of the NOLA culinary scene for years. I know he has helped a lot of people along with way with his charitable works.

French Market lot is about half of Brewery parking rate.

Much, much worse. It sounded like he got some family members to make something up and the result was "Chef Duke, Duke, Duke, ... on and on."

I found it. LINK

Last time I went it was completely sub par from drinks, to service, to the food itself. That french quarter rent had to be murder as well. He will probably turn up somewhere new.

Has there been an announcement on what is going in its location? That is prime real estate.

Looked on their website today and he is not listed as the exec chef. I follow him on Facebook and he's been advertising some cooking classes and catering for Christmas meals and parties. I wouldn't have thought he'd have time for that if he was the chef at Mr. John's. I saw no references to Mr. John's on his FB page. Seemed a bit odd.
