Just a PSA for those who may be in the area. It is a great way to sample lots of boudin from most of the big names and a whole host of smaller places.

Do they actually make it fresh onsite?

The pig in that banner is enough to make me not want to go.

It's not made on site. They make it ahead.

That's being a little over dramatic.. They have so many festivals, they have to pick an open weekend.

I'm wondering about why the vendors aren't listed? I heard some controversy last time I went that some vendors didn't like the "competition" and started their own boudin festival in Scott.

Yeah, it makes me think there will be boudin with cranberries in it.

I keep waiting on them to move it to a larger location. I skipped last year because my son was born the week before. The years before it has been pretty damn packed. I'd guess 20-25 purveyors of the boudin arts. The LSU game is a constant complaint each year, but it doesn't seem to hinder the crowd.

LSU games at 6... That leaves me plenty of time for cook off and patio boozing/cooking for game.
