Was there this summer. Did one night at Amici's in the North End. Was a little hole in the wall that was good Italian.

B&G Oysters in the South End the next night. I really liked this place. I had the Lobster BLT which was fantastic.

Why would you send someone to a bland chain restaurant?

Pretty reliable, decent food.

I have eaten at the one at Reagan National a couple times.

My favorite place in Boston is Rino's Place -- incredible Italian.

Just make sure the fish they say they are serving you is actually the fish they serve you. Boston Globe's DNA analysis of fish sold at 134 area restaurants found 48% were sold under the wrong species name.

This. Go to the raw bar and then get the chowder. Do it. You'll love it. Go to the North End and ask locals for an Italian recommendation.Great town.

Also a cool idea. We are actually thinking about moving up there for a bit when I graduate...

The chowder at Union is really good, plus it's just a cool place. I think it is something like the oldest restaraunt in the country.

Correct. It's a place you need to make time to visit for many reasons , but the chowder(best I had in town) and the raw bar are awesome.
