GOAT
Went for the first time last night. Wing'd it up and watched some footie footie foobawl.
This isn't so much for the New Orleans crowd, as they already know that this place is, hands down, the #best BBQ in the metro area. USA Today is a commie liberal rag.
The Brussels sprouts and slaw were solid sides. Mac and cheese was good if ya like that as a side. Only took a bite of it. It's heavy.
Gonna try the ribs next time. Whatever wood he's using, or blend, is awesome. The sauce is like candy.
They open at 6, just a heads up.

I've been raving about Blue Oak like a kid with glow sticks and a pacifier for awhile now. I wish they were still uptown as I miss watching Saints games with their wings on Sunday's. Great sides, apps, burgers, and the BBQ is good too. It's not the best Q in town but it's damn fine. The wings are the best wings I've ever had. Also worth noting these guys have a Hogs team. Always nice to support people that give to that cause.

Great food, but keep in mind that it's basically a pop-up inside of a music club. If you go when there's a band playing, the club owner really doesn't care for people talking, so it can be a less than great experience.

The wings, brisket, & Mac & cheese there are the best in the city for BBQ.
The pork is decent but IMO the pork at The Joint is better.
