That is my goal, but doesn't always work that way. It really has a lot to do with what's going on at the time. Game on? Am I drunk? Bunch of people are over?

I do not cook but my husband does and he will have every surface covered with stuff. I had junk on my island before I took the pic but I moved it to the table (which you can see in the pic of my "breakfast nook")

I would need to win the lottery on a good day to even think about what I want. The stove goes for 78K, is handmade, and takes four months to manufacture, and it would get dirty.

Same here. Kitchen is my next big project. The previous owners remodeled the entire house just before I bought it but didn't do the kitchen. No gas line behind the range and some funky pink tiles.

Oh and I have Lauren Barksdale all over my house too. The ole lady loves that shite.

Now that you've seen my kitchen, this really goes well with it.

What are opinions on here of TVs in the kitchen? I'm thinking of maybe a 19" under the counter. Would be nice at times I would think.

I'm against them, but I think that only one tv in the house is necessary. Now a soundsystem of some sorts is definitely needed in the kitchen. Gotta have the tunes going.

Well hells yea, but I'm a one stereo per house guy as well and it's loud and clear in the kitchen. Remote to the source and the volume works from there so it's all good.

Yeah, that was a must. I have flush mount speakers in the ceiling.

We have a very crappy little portable in the kitchen, which only gets turned on when the cleaning lady is here.

That's why I was thinking just a small one. Maybe not. Just thought it might be nice if I'm in the middle of something and a game is on to just have it right there. My kitchen isn't 100% open to the living room, so not a line of sight when standing at the stove.

Do y'all actually cook in these kitchens?

Oh hells yea, look at this feast (you may have to connect the dots to imagine the culinary delight that's going to take place).

Damn mother in law. I snapped that photo then quickly made 'previous' plans. That browned ground is completely unseasoned too (with white and black pepper grinders and two kinds of salt sitting right the frick there). Ugh.

ETA: You can't even dream up a recipe that bad.

That's the only location in my kitchen where I can't see a TV from. I mainly care about watching when I'm washing dishes or pealing shrimp at the sink or something similar.

absofrickinlutely

What, that's not how you make casseroles?

That makes my stomach turn just thinking about the cream of mushroom and rotel soaking in and turning them to mush.
