My personal favorites are Ancora, Domenica, and Venezia. Ancora's crust is perfection, not to mention their pane bread w/ macarpone dessert is mind-blowing.

I've only had pizza at Midway. I remember the pizza being okay. I didn't care for the deep dish style. If you are going to serve that style of pizza, the dough should have some sort of flavor or seasoning. The toppings and other ingredients were good. It was a nice, open restaurant/bar. All in all, it was an okay pizza. I'd give it a 6/10.

I haven't had Midway but I hear pretty mediocre things. That's Amore is where it's at if you want true deep dish.

Yep, my friend raves about That's Amore. I've never had Chicago-style deep dish before.

I asked the first time I was there. It's pricy. Same bottles as on the table.

Yep

Still could use some additional flavoring in the crust. Maybe salt or higher butter content.

I like Midway. That being said, it's completely overpriced -- definitely paying for that "atmosphere." Below average beer.

The pizza has solid toppings, ingredients, and for me the crust is "not bad." I don't want flavor or seasoning. I want it nice and fluffy with a robust, bread-y flavor. Definitely not Chicago style, or any style whatsoever, but it's passable. If I want true deep dish I'll go elsewhere, but to be fair they don't advertise it as true deep dish.

midway is ok - similar sentiments from me. if you go into it expecting it to be chicago style of course you will be disappointed but no terrible overall. not my first choice but ill go occassionally.
