Ancora is very, very good. And they have things other than pizza. Cure meats in house.

Pizza isn't necessarily "bad for you". Maybe Johnny's, but not quality pizza

I prefer Crescent Pie, and Dolce Vita to several on your list.

Also, not sure if GNO or strictly NO.

ETA: Probably could do this all day.

This does fly a bit under the radar.

I have yet to try its neighbor Mid City Pizza.

It's the best straightforward NY style pizza in town. A couple of posters here seem to have issues with their business plan, though.

Dolce Vita is up there with Domenica. I haven't had Ancora yet, I'm gonna try it soon. Was over on Freret this weekend but chose to try High Hat's burger over Ancora. (It was awesome )

Mo's doesn't have any where near the menu that Mellow does.

Now that I look into that it's not a chain. There are just multiple, unrelated Mo's pizzas in the US. So I'm not sure what ilivinabox was talking about

I left off two by accident. Pizza Delicious is below Ancora and Domenica but still good.

Tower of Pizza is my favorite old school style...RIP Downman Road branch.

Love Ancora and Domenica, but Pizza Delicious is the only one that compels me to drive 30 minutes one way from my house, through sketchy HipsterLand, look 10 minutes for parking, then risk my life hurrying down dark streets from the car to the restaurant, just for a frickin pizza. It is that good.
