My vote goes to Saigon Noodle. What say the F&DB?

The Pho at Ava St. Cafe was awful.

I'm glad you said that; I've been considering stopping by there.

Yep. Way too bland. There's no good pho around LSU.

Has anyone had the one at Bao? I've been twice, but I order vermicelli most times I eat Viet.

I was there Friday. The Pho was good, as were the Spring rolls. The service was a little lacking (it took 45 mins for the entrée to come out) but I'll try them again.

I agree but their noodle dishes are really good.
Agree. Also the Pho bowl is yuuuuuuge. I ate alot of it begrudgingly, and still went home with, and I am not exaggerating here, a quart sized Styrofoam to-go. I'm not sure why I took it home, I felt bad letting that much food go to waste, which it eventually did anyway.

Im not a fan of saigon noodles, the few times ive had their pho the spices over powered the broth.

I have dangs and little saigon as 1a and 1b, i prefer little saigon because of the people that work there and own it.

Viet garden is ok, but not as good as the other two imo.

Dang's is my favorite tasting pho, but it can be slow going in that place.

Try again. All my visits have been good service.

Will never go to Ava again. Plus Bao opens at 10am

This. I agree.

Dang's and Little Saigon are on a higher level than everyone else in Baton Rouge, and between the two, it's neck and neck depending on what dish you get on what day ... but the actual atmosphere and service and people you deal with will always be better at Little Saigon.
