Way too broad a topic to name just one, but I'll name a few of a few varieties.

IPA - Creature Comforts Tropicalia
DIPA - Good People Snake Handler
Imperial Stout - Founder's KBS
Stout - Bell's Double Cream Stout
Wheat - 3 Floyds Gumball Head
Porter - Druid City Downtown North Porter
Pale Ale - 3 Floyds Alpha King

I was there for the Pliny the Younger release, the line was wrapped around the block. I wasn't going to waste a whole day of my vacation waiting in line

I love how they release PTY in Portland. The bars that get it just put it on tap. They tell their best customers about it and tell them to keep it under wraps.

I had it 3 times - twice at The Beermongers and once at Belmont Station. One time at Belmont Station, it was totally a surprise. They didn't even put it on their menu. I had just ordered a Barley Brown's Headshake, and I overheard the guy next to me order PTY. I looked at the bartender and he said, "We just tapped it." I finished my Headshake and ordered the PTY. There was maybe 12-15 people in the bar. So cool to be drinking it without jostling with the crowd or waiting in line.

At Beermongers, they told me when it would be on tap. They had it listed on their chalkboard as "Fight Club". The first rule about Fight Club is that you do not talk about Fight Club. Again, the place was totally laid back.

Great beer, but nothing earth-shattering, IMO.

Quad dry hopped All of the Action from The Answer in Richmond is the best beer I've ever had. Red Oak amber lager from NC is the beer that made me actually love drinking beer. Demoiselle a dry hopped saison from Fullsteam in Durham is also extremely high on my list
