Crescent Langing in Shreveport. The owner ran for Congress and lost but he had a great website. It was something like 'throwthesonofabitchesout.com'

The concrete cinderblock place close to the turn off to Charlie's Funhouse right before the bridge over the Tickfaw? That is the only one I know about.
Its not that big a deal though...but their catfish is good!

i am very picky with catfish. actually i am not a fan of catfish. hell, sometimes i dont even like my own. never had bad catfish at middendorfs though.

Best catfish depends on how you like it cut and fried. Some like thick or thin, soft or crunchy.
Good catfish is not hard to cook. I think I cook some good catfish.
If I'm going out to eat catfish, I'm going on Wednesday nights to Big Al's. All you can eat with a side for 9.99. Go earlier and sit at the bar for 2 for 1 beers.
