I'll grab you one too, $130 with shipping.

Go get some St. Bernardus ABT12 for 14 bucks for a sixer. It's almost exactly the same.

I strongly disagree. Abt 12 is meh. I was thoroughly disappointed with it. ....now the Christmas Ale is very good.

One day I can tell my kids...I drank some of that beer...from an Abbey...which I can't even pronounce.

I completely agree. The only two that seem close to westy 12 are Rochefort 10 and Pannepot.

Abt 12 is way too over carbonated to me.

Acquistapace's in covington - 85 bucks for a sixer

Had 20 but had more on the waiting list. From what I was told, it wasn't even a first come first served list. It was all about if he knew you...

BR sold out yesterday morning. Someone drove from Houston and cleaned them out.

Probably going to flip them for at least double what he paid would be my guess.

Have you had it on tap? I had both westy 12 (not on tap of course) and abt 12 same day and found them to be very simular. Thought westy was better but not enough to warrant special notice.

(I was also pretty lit up by time I got to the abt 12 too though) It was the last beer of many I ordered at delirium cafe.

$85 isnt because its good the price is driven up because its always been very hard to get.

The monks dont normally authorize its sell outside the monastary so you have to drive there to get it in belgium. Some places will go there and buy a case and bring back to the cities and sell themselves unauthorized. So its really just one of the hardest beers to get in the world. Its also pretty good so there is a want for it. Supply and demand drive the price up.
