Bbq with Franklin, Whole Hog edition

Started by making a pit out fifty cinder blocks. He has a Heritage soaking in a brine for 24 hours.
This show is great. Lots of great Bbq techniques throughout the series. Last week he did brisket. One wrapped in paper, one in foil, on not wrapped at all. He wanted to explain how when you're toying with results, never change more than one thing at a time.
He used a couple of box fans to help dry the skin. Great technique.

I'm new to these. I've only seen the episode about brisket, last week, and the whole hog episode.
It's a good series, from what I've seen.

Where's the damn play button in those episodes? I don't see it.

That's pretty much the original bbq method. Agreed, it's a great show. I've seen 6 or 8 episodes... Very educational and entertaining.

Franklin learned how to BBQ under while working for John Mueller. John Mueller went bankrupt and Franklin bought his pits. Its the original pit he started Franklin BBQ with. Pretty big feud and no love lost between the two.

I don't care.
If Mueller was so good, he'd still be in business.

Well he is still in business. He started back up.
Just wanted to give some backstory on the pits.
