Thanks for the Great review. Better than the newspaper/magazine reviews. There are also some very good Uptown restaurants. I have been going to New Orleans on business lately and have tried several and have not been disappointed with any of them. Will share my dining experiences soon.

I understand these aren't on the menu at the new Cochon in Lafayette. Does anyone know, and of so, why?

Thanks for a great review. American Sector is one of John Besh's restaurants. They have a happy hour from 3/6 PM with half price drinks and 75 cent sliders. Domenica is another one with half price drinks and pizza from 3/6 PM. And Luke is another one with half price drinks and 50 cent oysters.

Well done. Thanks! You've shamed me into getting in gear and writing my review for Muriel's brunch and dinner at Dante's Kitchen from the BCSCG weekend. I need to quit sulking sometime.

Saturday Morning: Stanley

Loved this place...kinda wish we'd gone back for breakfast on Sunday. Portions were HUGE.

Bananas Foster French Toast: Uhhh...yum. Accompanied with vanilla bean ice cream. It was really, really good.

Breaux Bridge Benedict: Big chunks of French bread topped with boudin, poached eggs, cheese, ham, and a Creole hollandaise. Eggs were cooked perfectly, making the runny yolk the perfect thing to unite all of the elements. This was a wonderful beginning to a long day of walking.

that is the exact same thing my husband and I order when we go. I Lovveeee Stanley's.

Great review. I used to write reviews of restaurants and movies for a couple of small publications, but I've gotten out of practice. You've inspired me.

Actually, after re-reading, I love the gin and tonic description. It's 8 am, and I may go grab the Hendrix right now before I go to the office.

I'm definitely going to hit up August soon. I haven't been there in over a year.
