ETA: Let me rephrase that. We do have that garbage here, but no one goes to those bars. They good majority of the bars listed in the article (he needs to exclude some of the touristy bars - Pat O's for example) are always packed and that's where a lot of the locals go. Fat Harry's, Monkey Hill, F&M's, Gold Mine....every weekend locals flock to those shite holes.

He must be a hipster transplant that hangs out at only Marigny and Bywater bars. Those people are as cool as it gets.

That being said I would agree that a lot of those bars can be packed with "douches", but I don't like to discriminate, I go to all kinds of bars. I'll hit up a Marigny hipster bar, a FQ tourist bar, a WHD douche bar, and an uptown frat star bar all in one night.

This guy likes to stay in the safe and secure confines of his own kind. Pretty boring if you ask me.
