Root and Peche have been a couple of my favorites lately.
A lighter casual lunch you could hit up Domenica.
Great choices on August and La Petite Grocery

Really depends on what you're looking for. R'evolution, Commander's, Emeril's. Delmonico for dinner. Peche, Butcher, Domenica or so many other choices for a casual lunch.
Commander's brunch on Saturdays is excellent, though you've already got a brunch on your schedule.

We tried to get a reservation at Revolution per the suggestions of this board last week. Couldnt get one on Saturday unfortunately. Based upon the suggestions in my thread, I would say go with R'evoluton.

Let's say your wife likes shopping or maybe she likes looking at stuff she wont buy for her house. Why not spend Saturday bouncing up and down Magazine St. stopping in at shops and various places to grab a bite to eat?
Good itinerary, foodwise at least, would be Stein's Deli for breakfast-ish, Coquette for late lunch/cocktails, and maybe Pizza Domenica for an early dinner.
Tangent: I plan meals when I travel, but always leave a day or two unencumbered by reservations. I'll have a few spots I may want to check out on the map on my phone and spend day wondering. Get hungry, look at map, and pop in. These are usually my favorite meals of any trip.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think we might try Peche. We've been to a lot of the other suggestion before, but i like to try something new every time we go to Nola. Would it be better to try it for dinner or lunch?

Easier to get in at lunch. But I really like Peche in the mid afternoon. Sit at the bar, order a few small plates, few drinks, and some oysters. Its a great bar.

It's fine for either, but if I had to pick, I'd say lunch. I love the small plates, but I love the whole roasted fish, too. It's too much for two, but if you've got a fridge in your hotel and you're driving home the next day, the leftovers would make a fine meal when you get home. It's not a heavy dish, but it's very good.
